1 Year Startup Went From $0 to over $1Million Annual Recurring Revenue.
Tweet Hunter was born in May 2021.
It started as a “tweet library” where you could look up a term and get tweets about that term for inspiration.
Here’s the story of how two guys from France and one guy from Guatemala built a million dollar business in less than one year.
One day, @tibo_maker and @tomjacquesson sent me this:
“If you want to try Twitter Hunter, tell me and I’ll give you a coupon. Would love to have your feedback.”
I built a following around ghostwriting and copywriting. And this replicated the exact system I used for my clients.
3 apps (Scheduling, Writing + Inspiration) was now 1.
So I didn’t ask for a free month. I asked for equity in exchange for becoming part of Tweet Hunter
They agreed.
They had a product that worked and delivered a simple promise: You’re going to grow a Twitter following and income faster than what you’re currently trying. But no audience.
I had an audience interested in just that. But no product.
Perfect fit.
On month 1 we got to $3k MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue)
On month 2 we got to $14k MRR

– Tried Twitter Ads (this was a pain)
– Gave Twitter influencers incentives to promote it

– Just tried everything until it worked
But the best growth came from word of mouth
Because we didn’t focus on vision or mission. We focused exclusively on what our target market wants:

So if a feature didn’t have any of those, we just didn’t ship it
And people liked it:
